Easter Season 2012

Well... Easter came and went so fast this year... but we did have some fun Easter activities... take a look...

First... we dyed eggs the week of Easter... and yes... it was a jammie day and no we didn't do our hair for pix... we were on vacation... I guess my friend, Jill is rubbing off on me when it comes to relaxing on vacation!

Then came Easter morning... the boys crawled in bed with us and the picture of those excited faces to go see what the Easter Bunny had brought was just priceless!!!


Then it was out to the kitchen where there was a note from the Easter Bunny that said to follow the tracks..

So the boys took off following the tracks...


Then reading the clues to find where to look next...




The last clue led the boys under the dining room table to find their baskets... and boy were they excited!






Forty Days of Lent... and the boys had given up chocolate... well, that chocolate bunny didn't stand a chance!!!



Then it was time to rejoice and be glad in the day that the Lord had made... we got ready to go celebrate at Easter Mass!


Of course the only family pix and mommy has her eyes shut!!!

 Oh well... I must take after Coppa!




From mass, we went to Grandma and Coppa's to get a little Easter Surprise!  Grandma and Coppa had gotten the boys new bike helmets and some candy, of course!




From Grandma and Coppa's, we traveled on to Gramma Lane and Coppa Les' house.  Gramma Lane and Coppa Les gave to boys yummy Easter baskets with candy and transformer toys! We had a great Easter Egg hunt and scrumptious brunch of eggs, potatoes, hot cross buns and coffee.  Unfortunately... we forgot the camera so we have no shots from there... be we have our memories and we had a great time!

After Gramma Lane's... we were off to Great Grandma Lucy's... yes, I know... to many stops in one day!!!!

My baby turns 9!!!

I cannot believe it!  NINE YEARS OLD!!!  It seems like yesterday that we brought little Jackson home from the hospital!  He is growing up way too fast!  It really does just fly by.  We are so proud of the person Jackson is and how sensitive, kind and caring he is!  This year, Jackson is really into army and anything resembling a gun... so of course his party had a military theme.  We hired a company to come to the house to do laser tag and it was blast! First Day of 6th and 9th Grades!

Wow!  I cannot believe it... a 6th grader and a Freshman in High School!  What!?! Yes... that is a boot cast... broke my foot just in time for school!  UGH! Charlie with his teacher...Mrs. Villar!     Not as many pix of Jackson because, well... who wants their mom tagging along to take pix with their teachers!  Not a great shot...   was having an ugly cry moment!
