Dress as a Book Character Day!
Well... it was a spirit day at Olympic View and students and teachers were encouraged to dress up as their favorite book character!  Charliebug was SUPER into it!  At first he wanted to be Tin Tin, but when mommy could not produce a light blue colored pull over crew neck sweater... we settled on "Jack" from Jack and the Beanstalk.  Jackson was having NO PART in dressing up!  He is in third grade, has a "girlfriend" and is just way too cool in general to partake!

I am sure you are wondering what Mommy dressed up as... well... the 2nd grade teachers all decided to dress up as Fancy Nancy from that book series!

    Ummmm... I'm sorry I could not read the entire post because I could not get past the part about Jackson having a girlfriend!!!!

My baby turns 9!!!

I cannot believe it!  NINE YEARS OLD!!!  It seems like yesterday that we brought little Jackson home from the hospital!  He is growing up way too fast!  It really does just fly by.  We are so proud of the person Jackson is and how sensitive, kind and caring he is!  This year, Jackson is really into army and anything resembling a gun... so of course his party had a military theme.  We hired a company to come to the house to do laser tag and it was blast! First Day of 6th and 9th Grades!

Wow!  I cannot believe it... a 6th grader and a Freshman in High School!  What!?! Yes... that is a boot cast... broke my foot just in time for school!  UGH! Charlie with his teacher...Mrs. Villar!     Not as many pix of Jackson because, well... who wants their mom tagging along to take pix with their teachers!  Not a great shot...   was having an ugly cry moment!
